Applicant guide

Whether you’re applying as a trainee or you already have professional experience, we are pleased that you’re interested in a career at Milengo. To give you a quick overview of the application process, we have created this guide for applicants. We hope it gives you all the relevant information for your decision and are looking forward to your application.

Applying to Milengo

We have put together this set of guidelines to give you an insight into the application process at Milengo. The following information should help you to prepare you for an interview at our company.

Guiding principle

We believe that our employees are what make us stand out. That’s why we take a lot of time to look over each and every application. Of course, we also know that your time is precious to you. For that reason, we will try to get back to you as soon as possible.

Before the interview

Prepare for your interview by doing a little research on our company. Take the time to find out more about our underlying concept, culture, values, and departments, as well as our clients and services. Have a look at the profiles of your contacts at the company on LinkedIn and XING. And, most importantly of all – be sure to put your best foot forward and bring along some questions for us.

Your visit to our company

The Milengo headquarters are located at Wilhelmine-Gemberg-Weg 5-7,10179 Berlin. Please be punctual and arrive a few minutes before the interview – we’ll give you a refreshment to sip on while you wait.

Different types of interviews

Skype interview

We will carry out a video interview with you on Skype before inviting you to meet us onsite. Our Human Resources Manager Tim will contact you with the details in good time.

Onsite interview

These kind of interviews are about you and our employees getting to know one another. You will get to meet a manager and a team lead from your potential new department. This is a chance to shine a light on your personality, your career, and your qualifications. Tell us what you’re passionate about, and what inspires you. Remember that this interview is also an opportunity for you to get to know us better, so make sure to bring along some questions.

Working interview

If we invite you to a working interview, it means that we would like to see you in action. This is the best way of finding out how well your qualifications match the job for which you have applied. Of course, every working interview is unique. For example, a project manager will have to be able to allocate tasks within a team, while a localization engineer should be able to write some code. Our team leads will discuss what we expect from you individually.

What should I wear to the interview?

Keep it business casual, just to be on the safe side.

Don’t be shy – ask us as many questions as you like

Use the interview as an opportunity to get to know us better. Gather as much information as possible about our company, our work, our employees, and our values during your visit.

After your visit

One of your contacts at the company or Tim will contact you by e-mail shortly after your interview to let you know how we have decided to proceed.

Feel free to give us feedback

We greatly appreciate your feedback, and learn a lot from it. We will send you a short questionnaire after you have gone through the application process. Please be honest – we want to improve our recruitment process, and for that reason, we look forward to hearing constructive feedback as much as we do positive feedback.

If you have any further questions about the application or interview process, please get in contact with our recruitment team at hr@milengo.com.

We will be more than happy to help.

Tim
