Roman Kotzsch, founder of the alliance and managing director of its German partner, becomes new CEO.

milengo Inc. appointed Roman Kotzsch to the position of CEO after a unanimous decision by the Board of Directors, which includes members from Brazil, Italy and Taiwan. Kotzsch, the founder of the milengo alliance, also serves as managing director of the German member company located in the city of Berlin.

Kotzsch brings 15 years of experience in the fields of IT, translation and localization to his new position. He established one of Europe's first localization companies in Germany, which soon grew to be one of the largest in the country by offering quality linguistic services to the IT world that leveraged three crucial components: linguistic competence, technical understanding and a streamlined production process.

“I am proud to lead a company formed by partners that bring in so much business experience,” said Kotzsch, who believes that this year’s mergers have created promising new opportunities for unique collaboration agreements. “The localization industry now needs a broader spectrum of business models.”

When asked about his plans in the new position, Kotzsch discussed his ideas for the alliance’s strategy development: “For the past two years, milengo has successfully completed the structural and communication work required for constructing a 2G alliance, so the focus for the next two years will be marketing and technology.”
