milengo Inc. Joins Idiom Technologies WorldServer LSP Advantage Program

May 15, 2006

milengo Inc., the largest 2nd Generation (2G) Localization Alliance in the market, is currently participating in the Idiom® Technologies WorldServer™ LSP Advantage Program™, a first-of-its-kind strategic alliance program between leading LSPs and Idiom. milengo’s strong commitment to the use of technology is reflected by its decision to use WorldServer.

According to alliance CEO, Roman Kotzsch, milengo is excited about participating in the Idiom program. “I have been very impressed by Idiom and the advanced features available in WorldServer," said Kotzsch. “For the first time, the proven globalization management capabilities of WorldServer are being made available to single-language and multi-language vendors like milengo. Among other things, WorldServer will enable milengo to improve and assure quality. With WorldServer, we can simplify and accelerate communication and workflow processes."

milengo will take advantage of WorldServer ECM integration features to integrate the system with its content management systems (CMS). This will help the alliance extend its existing enterprise content management workflow to clients, adding and automating content localization tasks to deliver content around the globe with greater speed, accuracy and consistency. Once the content is created and validated by the client in the existing CMS environment, it is then automatically sent through WorldServer to the milengo local offices worldwide for translation, editing and proofreading. Each of milengo’s Local Project Managers (LPM) then uses WorldServer to automatically move the translated content back to the CMS system where it is ready for publishing.

The Idiom WorldServer solution fits perfectly into the milengo alliance concept and helps build a strong, competitive advantage. As a community of 16 translation and localization companies distributed around the world yet unified under the same business model, project management workflow and quality assurance standards, milengo will take advantage of WorldServer workflow automation and the central TM sharing functionalities to improve the quality and reusability of language assets. This, in turn, will allow existing clients and prospects to accelerate time-to-market, reduce costs and preserve business and technology resources.

Idiom® Technologies launched the program in June 2005 to publicize WorldServer and to give LSPs an opportunity to use the product free of charge in exchange for feedback and input, enhanced market visibility and leads to potential customers. According to Idiom founder, Eric Silberstein, milengo’s participation in the program was warmly welcomed.

“Idiom Technologies is exceptionally pleased to have milengo as an LSP Partner,” said Silberstein. “milengo worldwide partners will be able to give WorldServer a real workout from the LSP point of view and provide Idiom with valuable feedback. Idiom looks forward to working with milengo as it moves forward with its testing and implementation plans in support of business and client objectives.”

milengo is the largest 2nd Generation (2G) Localization Alliance in the market. Founded in 2003, milengo Inc. is owned by 16 leading technical translation and localization companies located in the most important IT markets spanning Western, Central and Eastern Europe, Latin America and Asia.
