Berlin – Wednesday, 13 October 2010 – Milengo, a global language service provider and Panda Security, a global leading provider of IT security solutions recently announced their award for ‘best localized website’ at the recent International Translation Day Event hosted by FEGILT in Madrid on Sept 30th.
A Gala Dinner and prize giving was organized as part of a wider event which featured lectures, round tables and seminars attended by translators and members of the Spanish language industry. Panda Security, a long time Milengo customer, received the localization award for ‘best localized web site’ presented for outstanding localization and translation work on the International Panda Security website. The prize was presented by Eva Maria Leitner, Vice President of the European Union Association of Translation Companies.
In recognition of Milengo’s work translating and localizing the Panda site, Isabel Jiménez from SLS International Inc, Milengo’s Spanish translation provider, was also present to receive the award. ‘We’re very pleased to have been part of a project that’s been recognized with an award from FEGILT’ said Isabel, ‘FEGILT represents the entire language industry in Spain, so to win this really helped position Milengo as a leader in website translation and localization in Spain and also Europe wide’.
‘Winning this award means a great deal to Panda’ said Yolanda Ruiz, PR Global Director at Panda Security, ‘it’s also a great acknowledgment of the dedicated team at Milengo Spain who have helped make the project a reality’. Judging was based on the quality of translated sites versus original versions, including text, graphics and multimedia content, with Milengo’s localization work outshining other entrants and clinching Panda the award.
Milengo and Panda are looking forward to further projects that help make Panda’s security software and services available in more languages to a worldwide customer base.
