Milengo, a leading global provider of translation and localization services, has now published its latest case study based on a collaboration with Netthandelen Holdings AS.
Netthandelen, a Norwegian E-Commerce company, came to Milengo in late 2014 in order to localize nearly 800,000 words for a webshop launch in Sweden. To tackle the high volume and short turnaround times, Milengo put together a machine translation post-editing (MT-PE) solution that combined customized machine translation technology with professional linguists acting as post-editors. The final result: Netthandelen was able to launch in Sweden right on time and within budget.
The Netthandelen case study gives an overview of how effective a customized MT-PE solution can be where there are strict budget and turnaround-time requirements. It also covers how Milengo continued to tailor solutions for Netthandelen’s needs after the initial launch in Sweden, namely the use of API calls to send content for translation to and from Milengo’s free-to-use project management platform, LanguageDesk.
This successful collaboration is a great example of how Milengo approaches its work with E-Commerce companies: offering bespoke solutions that target the customer’s individual needs, bringing in the latest industry technology and tried-and-tested workflows to ensure budgets are met and store products are made live on time.
